Woodwinds is a single family residential community centrally located in Laguna Hills, California. Residents enjoy being close to excellent schools, freeways, medical services, shopping, parks, and theaters.

The Woodwinds community has a low tax rate and no Mello Roos. There are many biking, and hiking trails throughout the neighborhood. It’s only a fifteen minute drive to the seaside resort of Laguna Beach.

Woodwinds is served by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. Assigned schools to this area include San Joaquin Elementary and Los Alisos Intermediate School, as well as Laguna Hills High School. All are highly ranked as a California Distinguished School. Parents may also choose one of several private schools in Laguna Hills such as; St. Georges Academy, Cornerstone Community School, Allied National High School, Christ Community Preschool, and New Vista School.

There are several parks near Woodwinds like Sheep Hills Park, Iglesias Park, Woodland Park, and Glenwood Park. You will find many areas for picnicking, as well as playgrounds and hiking trails. The Aliso Viejo Country Club offers one of the county’s only private Jack Nicklaus designed course. It also has golf instruction, fine dining, fitness outlets, and wedding facilities.

Laguna Hills Mall has been through many changes throughout the years. As of 2017 it is set to reopen. It will be called “Five Lagunas”, and include a 14-screen theater. Other shopping areas in Laguna Hills include the Alicia Plaza Shopping Center, Oakbrook Village Shopping Center, and Rivera Plaza. Nearby towns offer centers like The Shops at Mission Viejo, Irvine Spectrum Center, and the Aliso Viejo Town Center.

Laguna Hills is an affluent suburban city of southern Orange County. It was named after its hillside location close to Laguna Beach and Laguna Canyon. This city is served by the Orange County Fire Authority, the Care Ambulance Service, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
